Alamo Ranch – San Antonio, TX (Started Feb. ’07)

Scope Highlights:
- 110+ Acre Site with almost 1 million square feet in 30 Building Pads and 2 million square feet of Asphalt Paving Area
- 300K cubic yards of on-site soils, 100K cubic yards of on-site rock, 140K truck yards of imported fill, 110K tons of Flex Base, 30K tons of Asphalt Paving, and 52K linear feet of curb
- 3500 linear feet of Box Culvert (ranging from single to nine barrel)

Opportunities and Challenges:
Offering alternatives for value engineering, namely site balancing and alternative borrow materials, we were able to contribute to the site budget achieving the owner’s requirements. With over 80 site change directives, our strong attention to detail and vigorous work ethic is essential in completing the project on time. No job is perfect and without mistakes. But creative remedies, proper prioritization, and follow-through is paramount in keeping our customer and the owner satisfied.
