Market Heights – Harker Heights, TX (Started March ’07)

Scope Highlights:
- 110+ Acre Site with almost 750K square feet in over 30 Building Pads and 1.3 million square feet of Asphalt Paving Area
- 350K cubic yards of on-site soils, 365K cubic yards of on-site rock, 65K tons of Flex Base, 20K tons of Asphalt Paving, and 40K linear feet of Curb and Gutter
- 2000 linear feet of exposed rock retaining wall

Opportunities and Challenges:
With approximately 2000 linear feet of natural/exposed face retaining wall, the unpredictable geological conditions on this site presented a number of unique challenges. Our operations personnel were able to contribute alternatives leading to decreased solutions cost. As is common with lease driven retail sites, we encountered better than 80 site change directives on this project as well.
